The ideas that you're forwarding are beyond absurd.

First, we engaged in a preemptive war against a nation which posed NO threat to us. The reality is that Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction nor did he have connections to Al Queda. No evidence has been forwarded to prove the presidents position, and even US government bureaucrats on the 9/11 commission stated that Saddam had no capacity to build WMDs nor did he have a connection to organized terrorist organizations. To argue otherwise is wrongheaded and without merit.

I have great respect for both Powell and Armitage in the state department who both advocated that the president wait for better intelligence and more international support. Now we're in locked into a quagmire that we cannot get out of. Those who believe that there is an easy exit strategy are kidding themselves. We will not leave Iraq anytime soon and it's the fault of this damn awful man we have as president. There is no exit strategy forwarded by this administration. We're there like it or not.

If you engage in preemptive war, then you have a moral responsibility to leave the nation in a position of relative stability, which we cannot seem to do because the backlash against American occupation has increased by about 5 times.

This backlash occurred because the president had no idea how to secure and stabilize the inevitable chaos of a people who had finally been freed from the grips of an oppressive dictator.

BTW.... Finest move ever. After the war was won. About 500,000 armed Iraqi soldiers were ready and willing to participate in the rebuilding effort after the end of conflict, but we told them that we didn't need their assistance, so they were disbanded without being disarmed. NOW TELL ME! DO YOU NEED A DAMN PHD TO UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS A BAD IDEA?! Bush is so friggin arrogant. He thinks that he can rebuild Iraq without the consent or involvement of the people?! Can you tell me why it is inherently dangerous to "disband" an army of 500,000 men with guns and tell them that they're unimportant in the rebuilding effort?! Answer: BECAUSE THEY ARE NOW FORMING THE CORE OF THE IRAQI INSURGENCY! (And with good reason. They're pissed off and have good reason to be.)

We had no plan to rebuild the government of post war Iraq. Looters in the aftermath of the fighting were allowed to ransack government buildings, ministries, and bureaus, and US forces stood by while this happened. There was unrestricted freedom among the masses which literally dismantled state infrustructure and destroyed the effectiveness of government institutions which could have been helpful in getting the country back online.

According to standard military proceedure, you need approximately 1 policeman per 500 people in the general population so to maintain order. But we had no concept of the need to police the streets of postwar Iraq until the population had turned itself against us. We protected the oil fields, but let the population disintegrate into chaos.

Instead of eradicating Al Queda, our efforts in Iraq have only redoubled their efforts and recruitment.

We have lost 4200 american service men and women with 25,000 wounded. Estimates state that between 120,000 to 650,000 Iraqis have died in this Civil War. The US government has invested 1.5 trillion dollars into this little venture, and we're spending 10 BILLION PER MONTH in order to continue the FAILED POLICIES OF A FAILED PRESIDENCY!

The world will hold us accountable for what is happening in Iraq because this President was elected by us, twice. NDN12, has the cost been worth it?! Has the cost to America been worth it? The road to Iraq was paved with blunders and mistakes and they are the result of this President and his failed policies!

Iraq is doing nothing but breaking our military. Destroying our economy and causing the complete disintegration of Iraq. We're stuck there with no end in sight. Saddam didn't have WMDs. IRAN does and they want to nuke Israel and the United States. How can you be so naive as to think that Bush has properly managed our foreign policy agenda for the past 8 years?!

Iraq isn't saving anybody's life. It's weakening our ability to address real problems which threaten the American people.

Saddam Hussein made no aggressive statements against the United States after the First Gulf War. To assert otherwise is a lie. Again, you're just plain wrong. It's not rational for Saddam to threaten the US which had the power to topple his regime. He didn't even have the capacity to bomb us.
